Jim Mercer
Assistant Coach
Boys Freshman Basketball
This is Coach Mercer's 5th year coaching boys basketball at Hayfield. He started as an assistant to the freshmen boys basketball team, and then moved up to the JV under head coach Carlos Poindexter. After 4 years overall as an assistant, he was promoted this fall to take over the JV program.
In addition to coaching for Hayfield Secondary, he is also a 7th grade US History teacher for Hayfield.
In addition to coaching and teaching, he plays club lacrosse for an over 35 team, in Maryland.
He is married with one child
