Boys Varsity Baseball

Coach Shore is currently in his 11^th year coaching baseball and 9^th here at Hayfield.  This will be his fitth year as the head varsity coach, prior to which he spent 4 years as an assistant varsity coach.  He was part of the coaching staff during Hayfield’s last District Championship in 2011.  He is also in his 10^th year teaching Health & Physical Education and 8^th at Hayfield.  He currently teaches personal fitness and during his time at Hayfield has taught grades 7-12 in some capacity in the PE Department.  In addition to his responsibilities at Hayfield, he is also the director of player development for DC Dynasty, a travel baseball organization based out of Washington, DC that has teams aged 9-18.  He also coaches for DC Dynasty and has coached teams ranging from age 13 through 18 in both the summer and fall since 2008. He has coached several players in some capacity that have gone on to have success at the collegiate level.  Before Coach Shore came to Hayfield he spent two years coaching both baseball and football at Marshall Middle School located in Marshall, VA where he was also a 7/8^th grade PE teacher.  Collegiately, Coach Shore was a 2-year letter winner at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, a Division 2 school located in northern Pennsylvania.  He graduated in 2005 Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education.  He was also a 4-year letter winner in baseball, and indoor track and field, and a three year letter winner at football when he attended Lewistown Area High School in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, where he graduated in 2001.  He contributed to the baseball team going to back-to-back state tournament appearances his sophomore and junior years.  He still holds Lewistown’s records for career stolen bases and on base percentage.
