JV Hawks(4-0) fight out of a big early hole to win going away, 18-5 versus Wakefield at beautiful Barcroft Park. For the second game in a row, the team batted .500 or better, led by Braeden Muir’s 4 hits. Tanner Murray, Parker Derflinger, and Kofi Aboagye-Nyame each contributed 3. Featured in the offensive onslaught were 8 extra base hits on the artificial turf field—Muir (2B,3B), Murray (2B), Alejandro Rodriguez (2B), Zach Askew (2B), Aboagye-Nyame (two 2B’s), and Jacob Keeney’s inside-the-park home run. Derflinger improved to 2-0 on the mound as he came in to shut down the upstart Warriors.
