JV Hawks(6-1) come to play on this day and steamroll a good W-L team. Hayfield's bats were strong once again and the team plated runs in every inning. The offensive leader was Jacob Keeney who had 3 hits, 4 RBIs, and 2 runs. Braden Muir, Tanner Murray, and courtesy runner Zion Close also scored twice each. Murray, Derflinger, Keeney, and Jack Ryan all doubled. Muir picked up his first high school win in relief of starter Derflinger. The Hawks once again supported their pitchers with strong defense. Kofi Aboagye (threw out a runner trying to steal 2nd) and James Ross (nifty double play turn with Keeney) both came off the bench in a big way.
