The Hawks prevailed over the Colonials on the second day of the Alexandria Yellow Cab Tip-Off Classic, earning their first win of the season. Nate McShay led the Hawks with 18 points (including the seasons’s first dunk) and also contributed 7 rebounds. Tyler Seelman was second in scoring honors with 15 points and led the team with 9 assists. Garrick Short had the team lead with 8 rebounds and was the third Hawk in double figures with 12 points (on 6 for 6 shooting). Grant Williams (8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals) and Tyler Thornton (5 points, 7 assists and 2 steals) also contributed to the victory.
