The Hawks dropped a non-district home game, holding the high-scoring Hornets to about 10 points below their season average, but ultimately not being able to close the scoring gap in the 4th quarter and pull out the win. Herndon’s excellent foul shooting allowed them to withstand the Hawks’ fourth quarter rally. Tyler Seelman led Hayfield with 17 points, while Nate McShay added 7 points and 13 rebounds. Amir Atkins contributed 8 points off the bench; Brandon Lawson lead the team with 6 assists.
