WASHINGTON AND LEE HIGH: 65
Hayfield lost its first district road game at Washington & Lee. The Hawks had an early lead, then surrendered the lead to the Generals, but the game was never out of reach. Hayfield cut the margin to 4 late in the 4th quarter with a rally keyed by a Nate McShay 3 and a steal and thunderous dunk by Isaiah Glasby, but W&L made its free throws down the stretch and held on for the win. McShay led the team with 20 points and added 6 rebounds. Tyler Seelman pitched in with 12 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Isaiah Glasby had 11 points and 6 rebounds; Tyler Thornton tallied 9 points and a team-high 5 assists and 4 steals; Garrick Short led the effort on the boards with 9 rebounds.
