Hayfield improved to 5-3 in the National District and evened its overall record at 8-8 with a home win against Stuart. Nate McShay had a good all-around game with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The Hawks also welcomed back Grant Williams from an ankle injury that had kept him out of the line-up for several games; Grant was huge off the bench, matching McShay for team scoring honors with 11 points and adding 4 rebounds and 2 assists. His two free throws at the end iced the game. Isaiah Glasby chipped in with 6 points and 6 rebounds and Garrick Short (team high 8 rebounds), Amir Atkins (6 points) and Tyler Thornton (3 assists) all made valuable contributions off the bench in this close game.
