Hayfield won a thriller against National District leader Edison on Nate McShay’s buzzer-beating 3 point shot. The fans rushed the floor in celebration as McShay’s shot pushed the Hawk’s record to 7-5 in the district. McShay’s effort was not limited to the game winning-shot; he had an exceptional game, scoring a team-high 22 points and adding 8 rebounds. Isaiah Glasby was a force on defense, blocking 5 shots, taking a charge and adding 8 points and 6 rebounds as well. Amir Atkins was huge off the bench, scoring 14 points and adding 6 rebounds. Garrick Short led the team in rebounds with 10 and added 6 points. Other key contributors included Tyler Thorton (6 points, 2 assists) and Grant Williams (6 rebounds).
