JV HAWKS CRUISE TO FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN

The JV Hawks of Hayfield Secondary trounced their second straight opponent , opening up a 33-17 lead at half, then gave the JV Generals of W&L a bit life in the third, only to pour it on in the 4th quarter, dropping in 23 points to their opponents 9. The JV Hawks hit the 60+ point mark for the third straight game, while only visiting the charity stripe 6 times, compared to 25 trips for the visiting Generals. In the end it did not matter, as the high intensity of the Hawks defense limited the Generals to only 14 total field goals (7 2ptFG’s and 7 3ptFG’s). 

The JV Hawks were led by G/F Tyler Hodge (15pts, 5rebs) who hit 3 three pointers in the second quarter,  and PG Ralf Bansil (10pts, 10assts, 7stls) who continued his dominant guard play, by nearly achieving a rare triple double. Other key contributors included Eddy Biniam (9pts, 4rebs), Kyle Phox (8pts, 4rebs, 2stls),  and Jeremy Jones (8pts, 5rebs, 2blks). 

The JV Hawks return to the floor this coming Thursday (12/20/12), when the visiting Raiders from Jeb Stuart HS come to take on our undefeated JV Hawks!
