HAWKS TOO MUCH FOR EAGLES ON THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIAL

The JV Boys continued their flight towards an undefeated season, with an overwhelming first half against their cross Kingstown rival, the JV Eagles of Edison HS. The Hawks dominated the first two quarters, tripling up their opponent 34-11. The JV Hawks scored in double digits in all four quarters for the 8th time this season (although the first time in the last 5 games). The Hawks had a balanced attack, as they have had for the entire 2012-2013 season. All 12 players who suited up, reached the scoring column, including F Aaron Jeter (the freshmen call-up), who scored on his only shot of the day (2pts, 8rebs, 1blk), but really made his presence felt on the defensive glass (7 Drebs).
This game was not all fun and games, as two members of team fell to injury. PG Ralf Bansil (8pts, 5stls, 2asts) suffered a high ankle sprain, and is questionable for the remainder of the season. He is joined on the injury report by F/C Jeremy Jones (4pts, 2rebs, 1blk), who also suffered a high ankle sprain. He is doubtful for the remaining two games, so the Hawks may have to soar on without his team high 15 blocked shots. The Hawks were paced again by SG Kyle Phox (17pts, 3rebs, 1stl), who was perfect from downtown, and has averaged 14.5 pts/game in his last two contests. He was joined in double figures by Tyler Hodge (10pts, 4rebs, 3stls, 3asts) and Kelsey McCrimmon (14pts, 4rebs, 1blk).
