Returning home for the first time in nearly a month, the JV Boys of Hayfield, continued their winning ways with a 5 point nail biter over visiting Wakefield. The Hawks seized the lead early in the 1st quarter, and never trailed again, however were not able to pull away either, due to poor free throw shooting (9-18). Luckily Wakefield missed their share of free throws too. The Hawks were led by reserve sophomore forward Ed Kargbo (12 pts. 2 stls. , & 2 assts.) and reserve freshman point guard Tyler Thornton (11 pts. [4-4 on freethrows], 3 assts., & 2 stls.). The center position came up big as well, with Richmond Williams and Sam Rojas combining to score 8 pts., grab 21 rebounds. Sam also added 4 blocks, each one landing far from the court.
