The streak came to a sudden stop! The JV Hawks were beaten soundly by the JV Patriots of Yorktown HS, 59 – 40. The opposing squad hit 8 three pointers en-route to the convincing win. This was their 13^th win in a row. The Hawks did play one great quarter however, the third, when they whittled the lead to single digits. The break neck pace of the game, wore them out though, and by the middle of the fourth quarter, the Patriots were back up by 20.

The Hawks were led by reserve center Sam Rojas (9 pts., 9 rebs., 2 blks), and starting swing man Chris Johnson (8 pts. 2 stls.) who connected on 2 threes, and drove the lane for a bucket during the comeback third quarter, when Hayfield outscored the Patriots 13-11. Other notables included Richmond Williams who hit 4-4 from the line and grabbed 6 rebounds, and Aaron Pratt, who added 6 pts (4-4 from the line) and 5 rebs. The Hawks look to rebound this coming Monday, vs. Mt. Vernon, their final home game of the 2010-2011 season.
