The JV Hawks played right into their opponents (Mt. Vernon) hand tonight for the 1^st half, and then clamped down on defense in the second, limiting the Majors to 2 free throws in the third. Then finally the offense surfaced, benefitting from Hayfield’s stifling press, and scored a season high 29 points in the fourth, to cruise to a 52-40 win over the Majors of Mt. Vernon.

The Hawks again had a balanced attack (10 players scored tonight), and were led by Freshmen Dalon Thomas (12pts, 7 rebs, 3 assts) and Montez Wilson (10 pts, 6 rebs, 3 stls). Other key contributors were Freshman PF Muharrim Haque (7 pts, 6 rebs, 3 stls), junior captain Darius Poindexter (Key 3 pointer in 2^nd qtr),
