The “battle of the birds” did not end up as planned tonight, as Edison defeated our Hawks 64-52. It was a contested game throughout, as players on both teams played extremely well. In the end, free throws determined the outcome, as Edison scored 20 pts from the line, while the Hawks scored just 7.
The JV Hawks return home for their final two games of the season, vs. Yorktown HS, and Falls Church HS. Tuesday’s game will a celebration of the juniors on our squad, as all five juniors (Tyler Stanley, Xavier Canady, Kharon Brewer, Quentin Hutchinson, and Darius Poindexter) will start. These next two games will not be easy. Yorktown will be looking to get back at us, for the double OT loss that we handed them in their building, and Falls Church have already beaten us once this year.
