JV Hawks pull away from JV Lancers

Last Friday night, the JV Hawks put together a balanced game plan, and executed it well. The JV Hawks were matched with intensity and effort during the first half, by the JV Lancers of Le HS, as the scored seesawed, back and forth. In the second half the Hawks, spurred by defense, ran away with the game, ending with a 17 point win. It was the best defensive effort of the year, with most of the players making key defenisve stops.

The defensive game ball, was shared by Davonte Johnson, who stole the ball four times, and had several deflections, and Brian DiRosario, who perhaps made the play of the game, when he stole the inbounds pass, and finished it up with a lay-up. The offensive game balls went to AJ Flaviano, who led all scorers with 14 points, including 2 three pointers. AJ was clutch down the stretch as well, hitting on all 4 free throws. Elbert Maxwell had the other, as he made several key baskets during the decisive 4th quarter. The hustle award goes to Jawaan Mosby, who grabbed 17 rebounds (9 offensive).
