Asha Nair wasted no opportunities at the plate on Monday, driving in four on two hits to lead Hayfield Softball past Meridian 20-4 on Monday. Nair drove in runs on a walk in the first, a double in the second, and a walk in the fifth.

Hayfield earned the victory despite allowing Meridian to score four runs in the fourth inning. Hayfield opened up scoring in the first inning.Nair drew a walk, scoring two runs.

Hayfield notched seven runs in the fifth inning. The rally was led by walks by Madison Becker,Nekia Aiken and Nair, a single by Emily Wilsey a fielder's choice by Jazmynn Adams, and a double by Emily Lampela.

Adams was in the pitcher's circle for Hayfield. Adams allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Hayfield racked up seven hits on the day. Lampela and Nair each managed multiple hits for Hayfield. Nair and Lampela all had two hits to lead Hayfield. Hayfield stole ten bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Nair led the way with three.
