Hawks Fall to Atoms in final Minute

The Hawks almost captured their first win of the season, falling to the Atoms in final minute of play, despite getting two outstanding efforts from attackmen Hayden Page (7 goals), and Clint Pearson (5 goals, 1 assist). The Boys Lax team finally put together a complete effort, and came up just short, 14-13.

Hayfield had just installed a new offense, having only worked on it for two days, and yet, it worked almost to perfection. The Hawks had also changed their man-up offense, and finally capitalized, getting their first goals of the season with the man advantage. So. A Hayden Page tied the team record, with 7 goals, raising his season total to 10, equaling him with Sr. A Clint Pearson, whose 5 goals brought him to 10 goals, and raised his points total to 12 points (10 goals, 2 assists), leading all Hayfield scorers. Jr. G Jake Fischer was stellar again, turning back 16 would be Atoms goals. Jr. A/M Sean Moment scored his first goal of his varsity career, on a sweet left handed rip!
