Oakton Clips Visiting Hawks on Sr. Night
Hayfield attempted to rebound from last Friday’s loss to Westfield, by taking on a very powerful and well-rounded Oakton Cougars team on Tuesday night, the first of 3 games in 5 days for the undermanned Varsity Hawks. Even though the score did not reflect it, Hayfield played with spirit, fire, and determination! Despite only scoring 4 goals, it was only 6-3 Oakton at halftime. Hayfield is really starting to put together their offense. Hayfield was paced by goals from Fr. Jack Nugent, Fr. Kyle Marshall, and 2 more goals from Sr. Captain Thorsten Muehlbauer, who now has scored in 3 straight games (12 goals, and 1 assist).
