The second-seeded Hawks couldn’t take advantage of an outstanding performance by senior Jennifer Windau and lost a 1-0 pitching duel in a Patriot District Semifinal matchup with Annandale at Lake Braddock. Windau struck out 15 batters in the game. The Hawks will have a chance to get back in the win column on Friday, May 22, when they begin play in the opening round of the Northern Region Tournament.
