Perry-Shifflett Twins Pound Matching HRs Again In 29-0 Crushing of Edison

The Perry-Shifflett twins issued a warning to area pitchers in a 29-0 National District win over the Edison Eagles - if one of the ginger-haired duo goes deep, you'd better get get ready, because they do everything together. For the second time in three contests, Sam and Megan Perry-Shifflett blasted long home runs in the same game. Each drove in four runs and went 4-5 at the plate as Hayfield (6-1, 3-0 National District) continued its early dominance of their new district foes.

Amber Fowler struck out nine Eagles in a five-inning shutout and allowed only one single and three walks. Freshman Taylor Neuhart drove in five runs and fellow rookie Taryn McElhenny added three RBIs. Senior Kolbie Franco and sophomore Kelly Sheaff combined for 4 RBIs from the seventh spot in the order.

The Hawks' winning streak is now six, and they will next play host to the Mount Vernon Majors at 7pm on Friday, April 9th
