Taylor Neuhart struck out 13, walked one and allowed three hits while collecting her 8th consecutive shutout (11 total). Mount Vernon's pitcher, Megan Cole, held the Hawks to two singles (Taylor and Brittani Garza) until the 7th inning. In the 7th inning, Kat Motsko started off with a walk. (She was later tagged out at home trying to score on a passed ball.) Next, Summer Scott put down a well placed bunt single. Summie Smith sacrifice bunted her to second. Katelyn Thorne then drew a walk. Taryn McElhenny hit the game winning single into right center field scoring Summer Scott and Katelyn.
