Taylor Neuhart struck out 18, walked one and allowed one hit. The Hawks started off the first inning with Katelyn Thorne reaching first on a single. She was followed by Taryn McElhenny's single. Taylor then hit a sacrifice fly scoring Katelyn. Madison Nowland singled in Taryn for the second run. Taylor added the third and final run of the game in the sixth inning with a towering home run over the pine trees beyond the 200' fence in left field. Taryn added her second hit of the game with a single in the third inning. Bonnie Schipper also singled in the third inning. Summer Scott singled in the fourth and Madison Nowland added her second hit in the fifth inning. Edison's pitcher, Shantel Schexnayder, had 9 strikeouts.
