Amber Fowler had a single, double and triple resulting in 3 RBI’s. Megan Perry-Shifflett had 2 singles, a double and a Home Run for 3 RBI’s. Jessica Reynolds had a perfect night with 4 singles. Sam Perry-Shifflett had 2 singles and a triple and drove in 3 runs. Taryn McElhenny had a single and RBI, Brittany Creamer sacrificed bunted a run in and had a stolen base, Taylor Neuhart had a single. Taryn McElhenny and Brittany Creamer made two great fielding plays. Taylor Neuhart picked up the win in relief after Mount Vernon tied the game at 6-6 in the 4th inning.. For the season, the first four batters have now hit homeruns; Brittany Creamer, Sam Perry-Shifflett, Amber Fowler and Megan Perry-Shifflett. The game was played in extremely cold and wet weather.
