WASHINGTON LEE HIGH: 1
Down 1-0 in the 5th inning the Hawks started a rally to win the game. Angela Sudik hit a line drive to third base which resulted in Katelyn Thorne (walk) to score with the tieing run. Amber Fowler, with the bases loaded, came through with a double to deep right center clearing the bases. Megan Perry-Shifflett continued with an RBI single. She had another RBi in the sixth inning. Sam Perry-Shifflett had a single and RBI. Katelyn Thorne and Taylor Neuhart also had an RBI apiece. Thorne also made some outstanding plays in right field. She doulbed up a runner after catching a line drive and firing to first base. Taryn McElhenny turned her second double play in a row when she fielded a grounder and flipped it to Megan Perry-Shifflett who fired to Amber Fowler at first base.
