Taylor Neuhart struck out 10 batters, walked two allowed two hits, hit two and had two assists and a putout. The putout was a hard line drive headed up the middle for a potential single.  She was supported by a solid defense led by Taryn McElhenny who had three putouts and two assists.  Taryn made a "big time" play moving to her right to field a grounder tossing it to third basewoman Summer Scott for the force out.  Second basewoman Summie Smith had an assist and putout.  First basewoman Madison Nowland had 5 putouts.  W-L catcher, Grace Evans singled in the first inning but was thrown out by catcher Bonnie Schipper trying to steal second.  Offensively, the Hawks were led by Bonnie Schipper who doubled to lead off the second inning.  Madison Nowland, up next, singled to right field moving Bonnie to third.  With runners on the corners, right fielder Brittani Garza laid down a well executed sacrifice bunt scoring Bonnie with the winning run.  Left fielder Caroline Ramos then hit a sacrifice fly ball to right field scoring Madison with the insurance run.  Taylor added a single in the fourth inning and Bonnie another in the sixth inning.  The Hawks ended the regular season with a 23-0 record and the District Championship title.  They will play Friday night at home against Langley of the Liberty District in the first round of the Northern Region Tournament.
