Hawks 7 Centreville 5

The Hawks scored five runs in the first inning when A-J Martin led off with a single, followed by a single to Brittany Wieland.  Sienna Williams then walked to load the bases.  Avery Neuhart singled to drive in two runs.  Emilie Becker followed with a triple driving in another two.  Madison Nowland scored Emilie with a groundout.  There was a lightning delay and the game was resumed.  The Wildcats battled back scoring single runs in the 4^th, 5^th and three in the 6^th.   Avery scored the sixth run by getting on with her third single advancing on a wild pitch she scored on Emilie’s single.  In the 7^th inning, Grace Wilsey hit a sacrifice fly scoring Avery who had singled with her fourth hit; she advanced to third on Madison’s single.  Avery finished the night with six strikeouts.  A-J was 2-4, Brittany 1-4, Emilie 2-4, Madison 1-3 and Morghan Gray 1-3.  The Hawks will play Battlefield on Wednesday.
