6A NORTH REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS BATTLEFIELD: 3
Battlefield scored one run in the first inning with a single and double. In the third, Grace Wilsey led off with a walk followed by another walk to Morghan Gray. With two outs Sienna Williams hit an infield ground ball that was misplayed scoring both runners. Battlefield tied the score in their bottom of the inning. Battlefield pulled ahead for good in the fifth with a run producing triple. Avery Neuhart struck out 4 and allowed three hits. Sienna Williams had the lone Hawk hit which included a stolen base. Madison Nowland made a nice diving catch of a line drive despite playing with an injured glove hand. A-J Martin made a nice catch in center field of a hard hit ball.
