Brittany Wieland struck out 3 and scattered 5 hits behind a strong defense. She drove in the tieing and winning run with a homerun to left field with A-J Martin on board who had previously singled. Second Basewoman Grace Wilsey turned in a double play by tagging the runner headed to second and throwing to first base. Grace finished the game with 1 assist, 3 putouts and a single. Zipporah Baldwin received her first varsity hit, a hard hit double up the middle. She also drove in a run in the sixth inning with a groundout. Centefielder Morghan Gray made a nice catch of a line drive in the 4th inning. Morghan also singled and scored on Emilie Becker's single in the 6th inning. JV call-up Savanna Meyers made her varsity debut by pinch running. Sienna Williams had two singles and 5 assists. Julia Napier drove in the last run with a groundout.
