The Hawks beat Annandale HS 17-5 in the NOVA Spring Break Tournament Monday. Three Hawks split time in the circle in the win. Julia Napier pitched 2 innings allowing 3 hits and striking out 2 Annandale hitters. Claire Wellbaum pitched 2 innings and allowed 6 hits. Avery Neuhart pitched 2 innings, not allowing a hit and striking out 5 Atoms hitters.
Julia Hurwitz (3 singles, double, RBI) led the Hawks with 4 hits in the game. Julia Napier (triple, double, single, 3 RBI) had three hits. Kaylee Shull (single, 3 walks), Sarah Wilsey (single, 2 walks, RBI), Avery Neuhart (walk), Josie Bryant (single), Grace Wilsey (3 walks), Olivia Frego (2 walks, RBI), Brooke Solderich (walk), Melaney Umana (2 walks), and Caitlyn Goggin (2 walks) all contributed offensively in the game.
